Citizen Band likes guitars. They believe in amplification. They live for music. Rock 'n' roll is their religion, and you better come ready for the preachin' PsychoactivE works to bring their uninhibited, twisted piece of mind fresh to your eardrum. Forget about what is on the radio these days; this music comes from a fresh, fusion, blend of a variety of different styles and influences including Funk, Reggae, Jazz, Rock, Jam, Psychedelic, and topped off with the energy and feeling that absorbs the vibrations into the body.
Take a ride is exactly the point! Wayside Loop, hailing from Hemet, Ca, have done exactly that in their musical exploration. Formed from the ranks of former local heavyweights, The Loop is comprised of seasoned musicians who are focused and driven. Christopher Pendergrass (Vocals/Percussion), Nick Cherry (Guitars), Tony Mora (Bass), and Garrett Spates (Drums) deliver a sound unlike that of the predictable rock uniformity. With one foot rooted in explosively heavy grooves, the other treads upon a multitude of soundscapes encompassing funk, latin/percussion, atmosphere, and even jazz/fusion elements.
From a mix of different musical backgrounds and styles MagnoliaBlack was born. Fusing rock, hardcore and r&b magnoliablack is redefining what rock is and can be. $14 Buckets o' Domestic Bottles, $2 Domestic Drafts (During the games) SATURDAY Gameday!
Saturday- Cartel Presents DPI The Gizzards CDM 12 Cent The drunkin punkin idiots are a band of friends brought together for one reason...old school punk. They don't give two shits about fluffy pop punk. The kind of music that makes you want to puke. DPI doesn't try to push shitty messages onto people. We play shit we know about, beer, sluts, drugs, and mayhem. If your into it come join the party if not go fuck yourself. Born in Ocean Beach, Ca., DPI has been together for about two years. Within only months, DPI has spread throughout the neighborhood and caught the ears of many local bands whether they liked it or not. "These guys are a classic punk rock, play hard, drink hard, and have fun."
12cent started as a joke band in 1995. Tom and Scott were sitting on a street corner with an acoustic guitar. Yelling and hammering out joke song after joke song. When a car drove by tossing out the fateful nickel and 7 pennies that became their namesake.
The next few years were full of backyard shows, adding a bass player (Dan in 1997), basement shows, VFW halls, 2 demo tapes, and mayhem. We played louder, faster, and anywhere we could get a show. Bought a shitty van and picked up a copy of BYOFL and strung together DIY tour after DIY tour. This was us growing up, living life the way we wanted to. Booking our own tours, putting out our own records, traveling, making friends, and opening for bands that were our heroes.

Tuesday, Feb 6 Airpushers with musicians of The Black Eyed Peas Band with Audible Mainframe and DJ Gage doors 8pm show 9pm
Airpushers are fronted by two musicians of the Black Eyed Peas' band, Printz Board and Tim Izo Orindgreff, with guest vocals by Golden, Lamont Dozier, Sy Smith, Diane Gordon, and others, and a variety of guest musicians. Printz is the musical director of the Black Eyed Peas and plays keyboards, bass, trumpet and has co-written many Black Eyed Peas songs including "Where is the Love" and "Don't Funk With My Heart" (which won Best Rap Performance by Group or Duo in the 2006 GRAMMYs).
Audible Mainframe has taken their place as one of hip-hop's most profound outfits. There are other groups that posture rap tactics over live musicianship, but Audible is the only one perched on the ridge where rhyme and rock climax. At the recent Mass Industry Committee Awards - Boston's first hip-hop award show - the seven man crew pocketed first prize for Best Live Group, while Audible's front man, MC Exposition, snatched the trophy for Best Underground Artist.
Wednesday, Feb 7 SPARKLEHORSE with Jesse Sykes and The Sweet Hereafter doors 8pm show 9pm
With Sparklehorse, you just know it's going to be an aural experience that might just knock you over the edge. As with anything Mark Linkous, spiritual guide of Sparklehorse, does, the mix is beautifully-poised and the downright tricky. Linkous makes little secret of his worship for the Neil Young vibe, and he takes it in a direction that Young has never fully realized. On their new alblum, It's a Wonderful Life the sweet melodies sound as if they were recorded on corroded tape, with fragility inherent both lyrically and musically.
Sweet Hereafter is sort of alt-country. But that reductionist name should be resisted. It's music noir, encompassing the dark and gorgeous sadness that comes with being human. "Spellbound music, rapt in fatalism and sorrow" - The New York Times.
Thursay, Feb 8 PONCHO SANCHEZ with Steph Johnson Band doors 7pm show 8pm
More than anything else, Poncho Sanchez is a storyteller. And, as leader of the most popular Latin jazz group in the world today, it’s his congas and seasoned ensemble that do the talking. Live in concert or on recordings, the group spins vivacious tales that pay homage to the glories of a tradition that was born when Afro-Cuban rhythms merged with bebop. They recount in vivid detail the encounters, friendships, and passions that have contributed to his remarkable career as a bandleader and recording artist. AUDIO SAMPLE Blending Blues, Soul, Jazz, and R&B, Steph Johnson is that rare talent that captures your attention from the first note. Whether hearing her music in a live setting or on her recordings, Johnson has an amazing presence, topped off by that voice. Powerful, sultry. Then theres her deft rhythmic, jazz inflected guitar playing. All backed up by her absolute command of the stage.
Friday, Feb 9 COMMON SENSE with The Big Provider and DJ C-Bot doors 8pm show 9pm
A whole new musical market has emerged and COMMON SENSE is right in the thick of it! COMMON SENSE earned its stripes by playing virtually all of California's premier night clubs, music festivals and fairs including the Reggae Sunsplash Tour and The Ford Motor Company Californopia Tour. They have performed nationally at leading venues throughout the U.S., such as the various House of Blues and Hard Rock venues, and at numerous Concert Theaters, averaging hundreds of shows a year. AUDIO SAMPLE
Big Provider is one of San Diego’s most consistent draws, rocking club after club with an energy that would suggest the boys are playing for the Queen herself. With shockingly tight Police-esque grooves pounding forth from drummer Brendan Concannon and bassist Joey California, it is nearly impossible not to join the seething swarm of bodies immediately in front of the stage. But sit back and bask in the vocals and you will understand that it is Jackson Price’s pitch-perfect sultry swoon and Joey California’s Bee Gees meet Journey falsettos that set The Big Provider apart from their peers.
Saturday, Feb 10 ELIJAH EMANUEL AND THE REVELATIONS with Stranger with Black Hart Warriors Hi-Fi doors 8pm show 9pm

Sunday, Feb 11 THE DONNIS TRIO - matinee doors 1pm show 2pm and Salsa Sunday at night show 8pm
The Donnis Trio got their start near the slow paced beaches and laid back surf communities of San Diego. Check in with the trio at thwe Belly Up and you will be treated to a mix of upbeat and soothing acoustic tunes that are both tastefully organic and endlessly soulful. The lilting guitar and robust vocals of singer/songwriter Nate Donnis combine seamlessly with the graceful slip-sliding of Denis Sluka on electric upright bass and the syncopated rhythms of percussionist Phil Woodring.
