His name: Joey "Coco" Diaz.
You've seen him in the box office smash hit "Spiderman II" during the climactic train scene where he stands up for the battered Spidey. You also might remember him as Queen Latifah's boss Freddy in the action packed comedy "Taxi". His other film appearances include "Dickey Roberts: Former Child Star", Rodney Dangerfield's last film "Back by Midnight" and a scene stealing performance in "Analyze That". But it's the "Longest Yard" that is going to put Joey "Coco" on the celluloid map!

As far as comedy goes, Dangerfield, Sandler and Harold Ramis can't all be wrong. Joey "Coco" is a proven comedy star on the rise. He is an accomplished standup comic of twelve years, who has performed in clubs from coast to coast.

Joey "Coco" is originally from North Bergen, NJ where he honed his rapid fire comedy style. He officially got his start in Boulder, CO at the Beck's Comedy Competition. There he stole the show and never looked back, going all the way to the finals of Seattle's International Comedy Festival with Aisha Tyler. A first for an R-rated comic.

Off the success of the competition, Joey "Coco" pursued his dream of going to Los Angeles and trying his hand at acting. Not long after, he was spotted by a CBS executive and put into the television pilot "Bronx County". Yes, a drama! Joey "Coco" does drama too. As a matter of fact Joey "Coco" is so good at drama that he has landed roles in several other TV dramas including CBS's "Cold Case", NBC's "ER" and ABC's "NYPD Blue" and "Karen Cisco".

Joey's many television appearances aren't limited strictly to drama. You'll see him on FOX's "Mad TV" doing a fan favorite spoof of the "Sopranos" or look for him in a scene on HBO's "Arli$$" performing with the late, great James Coburn (Respect).
Whether on stage or on screen, his presence is always felt. Joey "Coco"s rise is being paralleled to other great comedy crossovers like Robin Williams, Richard Pryor and Jamie Foxx. So do yourself a favor and catch Joey "Coco" Diaz on a stage near you.

" Temecula Rockers "

IT’S ABOUT THE MUSIC -- Rockumentary

Ivan Promotions is a full scale promotional team which has helped to shape the emerging rock scene in Temecula, CA and its surrounding areas. Once solely focused on event promotion and merchandise sales, Ivan Promotion’s new venture is to make a documentary film to showcase the lifestyle and hardships musicians experience on their quest to rock stardom. The upcoming rockumentary, tentatively titled “It’s About the Music” will serve not only as a glimpse into the world of an indie rock scene, but also as a primer for bands across the nation looking to become discovered.

Ivan Promotion’s new vision is to create a documentary film that explores the emerging Temecula rock movement. Ivan and his film crew will undertake a nine month journey following a wide array of unsigned bands that call this scene home. The crew will record and document the progress of these musicians as well as the scene as a whole, showcasing the music and personalities which make this music community so captivating. The film will showcase the real life of unsigned rockers and they must go through in order to have their music heard. The film, “It’s About the Music” will serve has a how to guide for bands across the nation who want to learn what it really takes to be booked at venues and successfully promote themselves. The film will be shot entirely in black and white matching the feel of the documentary to the rawness of the music it will cover.

The crew will be traveling from show to show in the Ivan Promotions RV; a one of a kind rock-mobile. The vehicle is painted black with the phrase, “We’re making a movie, are you in it?” written in white along the side. This RV is an unmistakable traveling billboard in Temecula, spreading the word about the upcoming film. The team will attend approximately three shows per week. They will interact directly with fans, interviewing them as well to get a well rounded view of the Temecula music culture. The crew will also travel outside of Temecula, to various locations across Southern California as they follow the local bands as they search out new crowds.
