San Diego Music Scene is a collective designed to showcase, educate, and promote the vast array of local artists and bands. By coupling with local venues, media outlets, and youth market industries, SDMS will help support local artists and encourage solidarity in all aspects of the San Diego music community.
Our mission is to take the high-quality, innovative music being created in our coffee houses, bars, and garages, and create a critical mass of exposure- to grasp the attention of the record industry that seems so close (LA) yet so far away, and to help artists achieve their musical goals.
As artists, we recognize the amount of resources necessary for our success. Through promotion, marketing, recording, and selling our services. From start to finish, this can be an arduous process, and we hope to make those resources accessible and affordable to our artists.
Our Goals
- Host events that showcase local talent and provide opportunities for further exposure
- Produce compilation CD's that hilight and promote local talent.
- Make Production and marketing resources more accessable to artists through discounted goods, services, and information.
- Provide educational resources via the internet, workshops, lectures, and seminars.
