Will you still need me? Will you still feed me, when I'm 64? Even though his soon-to-be-ex-wife Heather Mills isn't sticking around to see Paul McCartney through his 64th year (his birthday is June 18), the rest of the Beatles-loving world will continue to recognize and celebrate Sir Paul as one of music's most influential songwriters. Among this reverent bunch is a collection of local musicians who're gathering together to honor the legend with a tribute concert at Dizzy's.
On the eve of Sir Paul's actual birthday, Dizzy's will host Transfer, Get Back Loretta, Gregory Page, the Truckee Brothers, The Shambles and more playing McCartney covers all evening, with songs culled from his years with the Beatles as well as Wings-era tunes and stuff from his solo catalog. See below for full lineup. The all-ages show starts at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments (but no booze) will be available.
